Waldemar Szwajca – psychologist
Before becoming a psychologist, I took on a wide range of professional roles, from office cleaning to editorial management, filmmaking, and even restaurant management—meaning I ate bread from more than one oven, and sometimes even baked it. I mention this because such experience opens up
quite a wide range of job prospects. Besides being a psychologist in the traditional sense, I'm also a soft skills trainer, coach, university lecturer, diagnostic psychologist, business psychologist, and neuropsychologist.
Above all, I'm a communicator. I strive to understand in order to better support others. Outside of my practice, I lecture on psychoeducation and support for social welfare institutions, as well as on transforming the institutional management paradigm. I am also a myth psychologist, exploring
the impact of myth on individuals and society. I also occasionally lecture to student psychologists.
My professional and personal paths have led me to positive psychology (which I'm become passionate about and have decided will be my specific specialization). I enjoy working with practices based on Jungian analytical psychology and the Adlerian approach to mental health issues. This makes me most effective when I work with people who, despite all odds, strive to find
something truly positive within themselves, understand their purpose, and move forward.
The method I use is very versatile and allows me to work as a child psychologist, couples therapist, and adult therapist. I specialize in providing psychological support to individuals and couples in crisis and struggling with neuropsychological issues. I also incorporate elements of Eriksonian therapy
and mindfulness techniques in my work, because I believe that at a crossroads, choosing the path that leads to the goal is crucial.
